Schools for hands-on bushcraft and survival skills training.
The best way to learn is to do! Book learning is a good start, but practicing what you’ve read about in your bushcraft books allows you to discover what really works and what doesn’t. You’ll figure out the nuances of making that bow-drill for a friction fire, or the perfect way to set a hair trigger on your snare. Sure, you can practice on your own and learn a ton. But if you want the fast-track to perfecting these skills and cutting down on the trial and error time, you might consider learning from an expert, in the field, at a bushcraft school. Here’s a list in progress of various bushcraft schools in the USA. Ordered by state.
